Designed to reflect the excitement, quality and entertainment value of online bingo, the annual UK Online Bingo Awards were launched in 2003 to celebrate and reward excellence in British virtual bingo and allow players to vote for their favourite sites. One of the most prestigious prizes up for grabs is UK Online Bingo Site Of The Year, which was won by Gibraltar-licensed ThinkBingo.com last year after being claimed by Alderney-licensed MeccaBingo.com in 2006. This prize is open to every one of the over 250 pay-to-play Internet bingo sites in the UK regardless of their software provider.

Another accolade on the table is the New UK Online Bingo Site Of The Year, which went to Cyprus-based GoneBingo.com in 2007. Any UK online bingo site that launched over the past twelve months may be entered into this category with numerous domains already campaigning for votes.
